Welcome, thank you for
visiting my website.
I'm best known for being the founder of Freeserve, the UK's first Billion-Pound internet company, I've left an indelible mark on the digital landscape. Launched in 1998, Freeserve soared to new heights, entering the FTSE 100 and eventually being acquired by France Telecom for a staggering £1.65bn in 2001.
With a diverse portfolio spanning Non-Exec Directorships, Chairmanships, Business Advisory roles, and Business Speaking engagements, I bring a wealth of experience to the table. My experience includes private, FTSE, and AIM-listed companies of all sizes and in the public sector. My skills are as a business advisor helping to improve a business and a business speaker. I advise and mentor firms on the board of companies as a non-exec or chair and support management teams with more than just compliance roles. I have great empathy for customer understanding because I've worked in retail. I have helped many companies change their propositions to customer-focused ones. I occasionally write a column for the industry publication 'Retail Week' and sit on the University of Huddersfield Governing Council. I have been listed in the 'Yorkshire Power 100' and the Top 50 movers and shakers in the UK Internet industry, Internet Magazine. Think about it, It's not every day you can have a founder of a billion-pound company on your board. I'm proud that the Queen awarded me a 'British Empire Medal' BEM in her 2018 Birthday Honours List.
